Eagle & Child restaurant
At the Eagle, all our food is freshly prepared in house. We use village suppliers for meat and fresh breads, with fish and game coming from local sources. We also offer a variety of tasty, freshly prepared vegetarian & VEGAN dishes.
If you’re visiting, check out our amazing local butchers – J.D. Hayton & Sons Family Butchers, on the Main Street opposite the entrance to Mill Yard. Or More the Artisan baker in the Mill yard.
Our restaurant and bar offer a traditional country feel with slate floors, exposed beams, and real log fires. The high standard of the food is being complemented by the cosy atmosphere.
We regularly change our menus, offer specials and occasional deals on two or three course menus.

Every Thursday night from 6pm we now have our very popular Gourmet Burger Night followed by our legendary quiz! Cash prizes to be won! Fresh Fish Fridays
Our weekly fish night. A great way to start the weekend… Every Friday from 6pm we put on a great selection of fresh fish. Our fish menu changes every week but the old favourites like fish and chips will always be there.
Sunday Lunch
Celebrate and enjoy good times with family and friends on Sundays. We have different choice of roasts every Sunday for lunch.
