If you are looking for accommodation in Lake District, look no further. We look forward to welcoming you to the Eagle & Child Inn. We have 5 Cosy bedrooms, all boasting of en–suite facilities, two with bath and shower. We have one twin room & 4 double rooms.

All are tastefully decorated to a high standard. A flat screen TV and great views are also included.

We have HYPNOS beds in all our guest rooms and serve a good Cumbrian breakfast the next day – all prepared with the best local ingredients.

"Gorgeous rooms and friendly staff"

Stayed here for one night and the room was gorgeous with lovely views of the surrounding hills. The bed was very comfortable and we couldn’t hear the pub down stairs at all. We had a few drinks and nibbles in the bar and found the staff to be friendly and food was good and home made.

"Nice stay"

We stayed here at the end of our Dales Way walk as we couldn’t get one night accommodation at Bowness. So glad we did, a comfortable room, friendly staff, good food and really excellent real ale. Really good choice of breakfast.

"An unexpected nice surprise!"

We were actually heading for the Hawkshead Brewery, but a road closure curtailed our journey right outside the Eagle & Child. So glad it did. We went inside to have a drink (a nice pint of Snecklifter was on offer), and discovered they were doing a full menu, including snacks, even though it was a Sunday.

Sorry No Pets in our Accommodation – we do however have a designated room allocated for guide & assistance dogs. Dogs are MOST welcome in our Bar area with a Biscuit & Water!
