Part-Time Kitchen Assistant (£14/hr)

Looking for a friendly, relaxed place to work with great people (and great food)? Come and join our kitchen team at The Eagle & Child Inn, Staveley.

We’re on the lookout for someone with good kitchen or cooking skills to lend a hand in our busy kitchen. You’ll be working alongside our full-time chefs — helping with food prep, starters, soups, sandwiches and keeping our kitchen sparkling clean (we’re proud of our 5* hygiene rating!).

Whether you’re a foodie with a passion for cooking or a more mature person with excellent housekeeping skills, we’d love to hear from you.

What we offer:

£14 per hour
Around 16+ hours a week (including weekends)
Travel allowance
Share of tips
Meals on shift
Food & hygiene training if needed

Bar Staff (£13.50/hr)

We are seeking enthusiastic Bar Staff to join our dynamic team at Eagle and Child Inn in the heart of the countryside. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering outstanding service to our guests while contributing to our mission of providing a memorable dining experience.

Responsibilities:

Serve drinks to customers with a friendly demeanor
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
Handle cash transactions accurately
Assist in managing inventory and stock levels
Provide excellent customer service to enhance guest satisfaction
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service
Support event functions as needed
Taking food orders from customers

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a bar or restaurant setting
Strong knowledge of hospitality standards
Understanding of food safety practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
